Beetlejuice 2 director Tim Burton has lined up his next movie.
The Nightmare Before Christmas creator will be teaming up with Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn for a remake of the 1958 film Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman for Warner Bros (via Deadline).
The sci-fi classic starred Allison Hayes, William Hudson and Yvette Vickers, and was reportedly made with a budget of $88,000.
The original film saw Hayes star as a wealthy heiress who becomes a giant, after a close encounter with an alien.

As well as directing, Burton will produce the movie alongside Andrew Mittman and Tommy Harper, with Kai Dolbashian acting as executive producer. Flynn is on board to write the script.
This isn’t Burton’s first remake of a 1950’s sci-fi film. The director previously worked on the 1996 blockbuster Mars Attacks!, which was based on the Topps trading card series.
The black comedy boasted a star-studded cast that included Jack Nicholson, Annette Bening, Natalie Portman, Danny DeVito and Michael J. Fox.
The new project marks another collaboration between Burton and Warner Bros, following the upcoming sequel to his 1988 movie Beetlejuice.
